Camilo is an Assistant Professor at Systems and Computing Engineering Department of Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.  His research interest include Software Engineering, evolution and maintenance, repository mining, Software Testing, automated/automatic testing of Android Apps, automated testing of Web Apps, Visual Analytics, software understandability, Mobile Health.

Camilo defended his Ph.D. thesis on Automation of Software Engineering tasks focused on analysis and testing of Android apps using compiled code. He received 3 Google Latin American Research Awards during his PhD studies, where he received monetary support to continue his research and publish in top-tier conferences and journals. At the end of his PhD studies, Camilo received the Swiss Goverment Excellence Schollarship for Foreing Scholars, that allowed him to visit during a year the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano, Switzerland where he worked with Prof. Gabriele Bavota. Additionally, Camilo has served as Organizing committee for ICSME’23 and ICPC’24, and as part of the program committee for different conferences: ICPC, ESEC/FSE, MOBILESoft, and MSR. Finally, Camilo has been part of the advising committee of more than 12 undergraduate students.
